The Gordon/Smith Libray was built in 2006 and is named for Margaret Ann Smith who taught Latin in various schools for 55 years (twelve at Cedar Hall) and was named National Latin Teacher of the Year in 2006. It is also named for Catherine Gordon, Gilbert's mother, who taught French for 20 years and gave him a love for poetry. It is used for a variety of activities including daily reading by Mrs. Ginny to the students, discussions on unusual topics, tutoring times, and individual free reading time. It has also hosted Grandparent teas, graduate functions, and Commencement.
